The Reima BugProof finish contains a mildly scented insect repellent against mosquitoes and ticks. Its effectiveness is based on citrus grass extract, which contains geraniol (a biocide). The repellent is added to the fabric as a surface finish, and its effectiveness lasts for more than 50 washes. The extract has a very light, pleasant lemon scent, which many insects such as ticks and mosquitoes cannot tolerate.
